Our Annual General Meeting and Forum for the Future duly went ahead on 29 October. Around 25 of our supporters attended, all with an active interest in securing the future of Sustainable Crediton and many wishing to be further involved.

The most popular areas for action were identified by the Forum as follows:

Reviving a local repair cafe;

Networking and working with other local environmental groups;

More tree planting / community orchard;

More events (including fun ones!)

Lobbying and campaigning, including networking with other local groups;

Setting up a share shed / library of things;

Reviving the Energy Group,

Supporting the Boniface Trail project as well as improvements to local cycling infrastructure.

Your Core Group is already pursuing a number of these actions. As always, our capacity to do so will depend on you, our members, wishing to get involved further. Drop us an email if you would like to become involved in any of the above.

Following on from the Forum, we held the Annual General Meeting. All three existing officers were prepared to continue for the time being in their existing roles and in the absence of any other nominations were re-elected as follows:

Dee Ross - Chair, Esther Mann - Treasurer, Caroline Romijn - Secretary.

The following additional members of Core Group also agreed to continue: Christina Dymond, Terry Hadley.

No less than four members also put themselves forward to join Core Group: Catherine West, Paula Kovacs, Sarah Alsbury and Tiffany Gaston. We are absolutely delighted to have you on board!
