Review of Back to the Future Revisited

 to

Conference Suite, Lords Meadow Sports Centre, Crediton EX17 1ER GoogleMap

The main findings from this meeting were:

1. We need to recruit more active volunteers. We can do this by holding a volunteering event, adding a paragraph to all press releases requesting volunteers.

2. We need better and smarter publicity. Are we using our existing leaflets to their full potential?

3. We must try harder to support groups and work with people to overcome some of the difficulties they encounter.

See the flip chart images for more detail.

4. If people sign up at eg stalls to help, then we must be professional in our follow up and actually invite the would be helpers to our next event/meeting.

5. Invite people to our future website training session which maay help to move our skill sharing project along

Back in January this year, 40 of us gathered in the Boniface Centre to celebrate Sustainable Crediton's achievements over the last seven years, and think about what comes next. Remember?

Since then, some of the things we decided to go for have gone from strength to strength - like plans for a local energy company, and the Boniface Trail campaign for a safe cycling route to Exeter - while other good ideas are still bubbling along.

How can we keep the momentum going? A short evening gathering will refresh minds and help develop ideas and intentions. We're thinking about a bit of inspiration from those who have made good progress, and some encouragement and support for those whose ideas are newer, or just more difficult to get off the ground.

Please join us on the 9th September at the new conference suite at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre at 7.30 p.m. to refresh your New Year Resolution! And there will be refreshments.
