Sustainable Crediton Win a Small Green Steps Award from the Devon Community Foundation (DCF)

In July we decided to enter the Small Green Steps Award competition. All we had to do was to write to the DCF telling them what steps we had taken over the last 24 months to save energy and tackle climate change, including the positive results we've achieved from these actions. Are you a Facebook user? If so, did you know that Sustainable Crediton is also now a group on Facebook. We want to expand our presence on Facebook, so please become a Facebook member of Sustainable Crediton and invite all your local Facebook friends to do so as well. We will use Facebook as another tool to get our messages across to as wide a range of people as possible, for example there is a discussion board where topics of interest can be discussed between members.

A Multi Media Projector for Sustainable Crediton

Mid Devon Community Recyling has awarded Sustainable Crediton the funds to buy a multi media projector which can be attached to a laptop to give colourful and interesting presentations to any group of people who would like to find out about the Transition Movement, the work of Sustainable Crediton, Climate Change and Peak Oil.

This is excellent news and will enable us to go out and talk to groups all over the area with the aim of inspiring them to become active within their own communities on projects that will help the transition to a low carbon lifestyle.

If you know of a group that might be interested in a presentation then why not let us know? The material can be geared to reflect the needs and interests of the particular group involved.

Contact our chair Gerald Conyngham for more details or to suggest the names and contacts of groups that you think might be relevent.
