I'm delighted to say that Sustainable Crediton has now been granted Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status, by the Charity Commission.

This brings us a number of benefits, including greater credibility when pursuing funding opportunities and a more secure position in respect of risk management.

With this new status come a number of extra obligations about how we manage our affairs, which generally amount to good practice and are likely to be beneficial to us. The trustees have started work to ensure we not only meet Charity Commission requirements, but continue to have an organisation of which we can be proud.
