A Community Conversation
On Saturday 21 March a well-attended second Community
Conversation was held in the Boniface Centre. This event was the
result of a joint effort between Crediton Town Council and

ECOE Advice (Exeter Community Energy) was established
in 2014. Their vision is for renewable energy projects to bring
about practical change in the communities around Exeter. They
run drop in clinics to offer advice on energy.

At the open day at the Crediton Community Allotment in 2022
children from Hayward's School planted two dwarf apple trees, a
Sturmer Pippin and a Charles Ross. Since then each year the apples
from these trees have gone to the class that planted them. When we

Sustainable Crediton was invited to help at Hayward School's
Super Hero Day which this year had the theme of sustainability. As
they had other folk doing recycling and the perils of plastic we
were invited to focus on the theme of wildlife.

You will need:
250gm/8oz stoned prunes ( Agenprunes if you can get them)
25gm/1oz brown sugar (Muscovado is best)
a cinnamon stick
a bay leaf
port
Place the prunes, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick in a preserving
