Sustainable Crediton newsletter issue 132, February 2022

Welcome back to our newsletter, after a mid winter break in January. We have just passed the festival of Imbolc, marking ther first stirrings of spring: always a moment of hope and renewal for the seasons which lie ahead.

We are delighted to say that our annual Seed Share event is going ahead on 26 February for the first time this side of the pandemic. Do come along and join us. Also news of our community larder / fridge project which is making good progress: big thanks from Core Group to all those members who are making this happen.

For those wanting to get outdoors now there is a hint of spring in the air, we have not one, not two, but three tree planting dates to offer you! And if you want tree planting with party / celebration, check the TreeFest item in Dates for your Diary.

We catch up on the recipe front with two delicious sounding offerings: special thanks to Paul Cleave and Linda Lever for continuing to 'feed' these to us and keeping our taste buds well tuned.

In this issue we also pay tribute to Sarah Green, who played a major role in the development of Sustainable Crediton and without whose hard work and expertise this newsletter woud not be appearing.

Best wishes to all,

John Craythorne, on behalf of Core Group

A tribute to Sarah Green

Many will already have heard of the death of Sarah Green on 12th December 2021. She was a former Chair and the website designer for Sustainable Crediton. I first met Sarah at a Sustainable Crediton public meeting about solar panels in 2011. Later that year Sarah, a website designer, volunteered to ...

Sarah Green: an appreciation

I took on the job of newsletter editor in 2018. As a self confessed I.T. ignoramus, this was not without a good deal of trepidation. I need not have worried. The newsletter is compiled and formatted 'as if by magic', from the content we add to Sarah's brilliantly designed website. On occasions whe ...
