Sustainable Crediton Newsletter Issue 107
Welcome to the newsletter.
It's easy to assume there is now a near universal acceptance
that climate change is happening and is directly linked to rising
greenhouse gas emissions caused by human activity.
It's an inconvenient truth however that there are many who do
not accept the overwhelming evidence that this is so. Some
campaigners for action on climate change say that there is no point
debating with those holding such an opinion. There is a unique
attraction in maintaining the view that humanity is not responsible
for global warming.
But then perhaps it is not enough to talk only with those who
agree with our point of view (gets a bit boring anyway), and we
need to continue to argue the case which has been made so
compellingly by climate change researchers across the globe.
Best wishes,
John Craythorne, on behalf of Sustainable Crediton

“So what do we do? Anything - something. So long as we don't
just sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else.
If we wait until we've satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be
too late.”
