Seed Share, High Street Open as usual
We will be having our annual Seed Share in the Old
Town Hall, Searle Street from 11am to 2pm this coming Saturday,
20th February. Do come and join us and find seeds to grow, saved by
local gardeners together with heritage seeds from the Heritage Seed
library. Bring your own saved seeds for others to try. Bring books,
plants, tools for the Bring and Share table. Browse the stalls by
Herbs for Common Complaints, Orchards Live, Devon Wildlife Trust,
Tiverton Beekeepers, Composting, seed saving information and
homemade pickles and jams. Tasty homemade lunches will be
available, all to the great music of the Woodmen. Entrance is free
and donations are welcome. As this is a big fundraiser for
Sustainable Crediton, please come just for coffee/cake/ homemade
lunch and help us to raise funds even if you are are not interested
in seeds.
Recycling Hero
Esther Mann, our Waste Action Group Coordinator, won the
prestigious Community Group Recycling Hero Category at the Recycle
Devon Thank You Awards on the 12th February. This is the first time
that a member of our Waste Action Group has won an award at the
county's top recycling event and just goes to show what an impact
our Pop Up Shops in 2015 had. More information and photos will be
published in our next newsletter.
