Sustainable Crediton Newsletter Issue 73
Welcome to the August Sustainable Crediton Newsletter. This
August is a quiet month for our activities as our groups tend to
have a well earned rest. However both the Core Group and the Waste
Action Groups are planning events for October.
Did you see Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's War on Waste programme last week? Featured
were Restart Parties where broken electrical appliances were fixed
at events around the country. We are having such a Restart
Party in Crediton on the 29th October in conjunction with a
week long Give and Take event in the Crediton Methodist Church.
Don't throw out those broken appliances, bring them to our Restart
Party. More details to follow.
The Core Group are planning an event during 8th-16th October in
a Week of Action to celebrate the people, places
and things we want to protect from climate change. We will be
inviting our MP Mel Stride to take part. If you have any good ideas
for an event please get in touch via our contact us page.
Finally meet our new Core Group member and Transport Group
Coordinator Sam Robbins.
Sam is organising some informal events at the Crediton Inn where
people can share their experiences and information over a pint. The
first event will be on the 15th September
about electric cars.
