Sustainable Crediton Newsletter Issue 39

Credfest bike ride

A very warm welcome to the October Newsletter as Autumn sets in.

There is definitely a flavour of food and cycling in the events list, but in addition the Waste Action, Energy and Firewood Groups all have meetings and activities during the month, so if you would like to get involved please contact the relevant group coordinator via the website.

The Transport Group are having two meetings to reinvigorate the Crediton to Exeter Cycle Route proposals on the 2nd and 22nd. Then on the 19th there is a chance to try out a Brompton folding bike on a ride from Exeter to Exmouth and back.

The October Community market on the 12th is being organised by the Food Group with apples as the theme. There will be an apple press but we need people to help with the apple juicing. If you can help please contact El Roth on 866543. Also there will be street theatre with a deceptively friendly shark! Come and find out more. Then on the 27th do visit the Sustainable Crediton stall at Quicke's Apple Day event in Newton St Cyres.

We are planning an event around fracking in the near future, so watch out for details coming up soon!
