A very warm welcome to the October Newsletter as Autumn sets in.

I hope you are enjoying our new look newsletter. The email newsletter only contains snippets of the news. Much more detail can be found by clicking on the blue links or clicking on the blue dots at the end of each snippet of news. Clicking on the links will take you to the website where the full news articles are stored. To read the notes from the various action and core group meetings you will have to sign into the website. If you have forgotten your username and password which were sent to you, you can retrieve them via the website.

There is definitely a flavour of food in the events list this month. We have Julianne Montgomery doing apple and pear pressing at the Farmers Market on the 6th, our own Community Market takes place on the 13th and our Food Group has a stall at the Quicke's Farm Shop Apple Day on the 20th.

The Energy Group is working on a new project called the Warm Homes Project which is one of just 45  projects looking for a piece of an £8 Million community fund being awarded by the Government in December. If you are considering installing solar thermal panels for hot water or a heat pump over the next few months do read the article Expressions of Interest Wanted.

And finally congratulations to Sustainable Crediton for being Runner up in the 2012 Devon Community of the Year Awards run by the Community Council of Devon. Core Group members Dominic Doble and Charles Mossman were present at the awards event to receive our framed certificate.
