Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to all.

In the aftermath of the Copenhagen Climate Conference and its lack of any real pro-active decisions, now is perhaps a good time to reflect on what we as individuals can do to influence the future of our planet.

Crediton Climate Action is a local organisation which has amassed over 350 supporters in the past 3 years. CCA is totally non political and is gradually and progressively gaining respect and influence in Mid Devon.

We have not, and will not, forget the bigger picture of the International effort needed to tackle Climate Change and to get a just deal for the 3rd world. To this effect we have a meeting and discussion on Wed 27th Jan lead by Laura and Gerald Conyngham (see below) who attended the Copenhagen Conference last month.

We also believe however that it is equally important that we continue to tackle local issues and to build our own resiliance as families, and that of our communities, through our Transition Town Initiative and the work of our CCA Action Groups.

So, if you have yet to set a New Year's resolution for 2010, why not make it to get more involved with the work of CCA this year and in doing so do your bit to tackle the growing threat of climate change and peak oil facing us all.
